Have you ever wondered what the Koules Fortress would tell us if it had a voice? Or what stories are hidden within the Morosini Fountain and the Loggia? The students of class ST1 at our school took action and gave a voice to the history of our city!
As part of the Skills Workshops curriculum, we became researchers, scriptwriters, and digital creators for a while. Working in groups, we studied ten of the most important historical monuments of Heraklion and wrote original first-person narratives, bringing each monument to life.
Then, we transformed into young narrators! We recorded our voices, collected photographic material, and used the digital platform Genially to create a fully interactive digital map of Heraklion.
How does the map work?
The experience is simple and engaging:
Open the interactive map below.
Click on the interactive pins placed on the monuments.
Listen to the students themselves guiding you through each location and revealing its hidden stories and secrets.
We invite you to enjoy a digital walk through Heraklion, seen through the eyes and voices of our students.
