The pioneering SAFER project on school bullying was completed with the final conference held in Brussels on March 13, 2024, with the participation of members of the European Parliament, representatives of the European institutions and representatives of the pilot schools of all countries of the SAFER partnership.
Students and teachers presented the conclusions and good practices from the implementation of the SAFER project in their schools. Our school was represented by Ms. Birlaki Irini, while it started last year with the participation of Ms. Konstantina Kartsoni and Kiki Genitsaridou.
In the context of the participation of the 47th Primary School of Heraklion, the actions of the 6th-grade students were presented with their teacher Mrs. Irini Birlaki. Among them was the creation of a mural in the central entrance of the school, which advises children in case of bullying, how to deal with it and how to behave. They also created masks, which show positive feelings when there is teamwork and cooperation, as well as negative feelings when they are bullied. They also created a group called "the SAFER friends" and painted a classroom wall, writing the logo "Be the HERO for reducing bullying to ZERO!"
